How does the technology work?

It begins with the Connex USA Internet backbone, which is an ATM OC-12 licensed redundant ring utilizing point-to-point microwave technology.  Our Broadband WiMax Access (BWA) network connects to this backbone and uses through-the-air technology to deliver data rates from 1.54 Mbps to 45 Mbps.  By using point-to-multipoint technology, we bypass the congestion of a hardwire connection and supply a fast and secure data transfer. 

What makes WiMax Broadband different from other wireless broadband services?
